Golonka, Humeniuk and Rusiecki have established Xevin
Xevin Investments – a Polish investment fund specializing in the new media and technology sectors – will focus its operations on the markets of Central and Eastern Europe.
Xevin Investments’ mission is to raise the value of its portfolio companies through supporting their growth with capital, consulting, and reliable solutions in the areas of marketing, sales, logistics, and technology. During the first 12 months the fund is going to invest 10 million zlotys.
The offerings of Xevin Investments (www.xevin.pl) include investment and advisory services. The fund is interested both in companies and projects in the initial phase of development, unable to achieve further business goals due to insufficient capital, and in thriving companies in need of additional investment to achieve their milestones in the pursuit of competitive advantage. At the moment, the fund is finalizing the acquisition of a successful Polish interactive agency and an SEM agency. It has also provided advisory services for a capital-related e-commerce company (Zakupy.com S.A.). Contract details and further acquisition plans will be announced at the end of May and the beginning of June.
“Many years’ experience on the new media market and a broad variety of business situations we have dealt with, will allow us to assess projects in need of investment quickly and accurately”, says Marek Rusiecki, member of Xevin Investments’ Management Board. “We look for partners in the following sectors: IT, digital media, software and mobile technologies, and e-commerce”.
Apart from Marek Rusiecki, the fund’s Management Board comprises two other highly recognized new media professionals: Gwidon Humeniuk and Krzysztof Golonka – President of the Board. The Board members have extensive – in total, 25 years’ – experience in managing Internet projects on the Polish and international markets, as well as strong theoretical and practical knowledge of capital investments and broadly understood financial management. They rely on their intuition and investment expertise.
“We have watched capital investments on the media market – both in Poland and in CEE – for several years, comparing them to the more advanced markets of the US and Western Europe. We believe Poland lacks an investment company that would support both start-ups and young, promising businesses in need of investment. Xevin will provide support for entrepreneurs who are able to convince us that their businesses have a high potential”, explains Gwidon Humeniuk.
Apart from investing in particular companies, Xevin Investments offers investment advisory services. The fund wants to become a partner for foreign companies planning to move their operations to the competitive Polish market.
“We know the realities of the media market in Poland inside out. We have successfully created numerous new companies on this market and we have transferred proven Polish solutions onto foreign markets”, adds Krzysztof Golonka. “We are willing to share our knowledge and experience. Our goal is to identify businesses that will be able to increase their value significantly with Xevin’s support, bringing benefits to us and to their current owners”.
